Account Management - Initial setup
This page outlines some basic steps you should take after receiving your account setup email notification. These are the minimum steps you will need to take in order to be able to send your first campaign.
- Change your password
The first step you should take after your initial account setup is to change your password. Your password should be secure and easy to remember. A good password is 8 or more characters long and uses a combination of upper and lower-case letters and numbers.
You can change your password by clicking on "My Account" in the top right corner of your control panel. - Create your first list
When logging into your control panel for the first time you will be asked to create your first list. Click the link provided to go to the list creation screen. (Read this article about the best strategy for creating your lists) - Enter contacts
After your list is created you'll be ready to add contacts to it. You can enter contacts by clicking "Add" under the Contacts heading. (Importing contacts is not currently supported, but if you have an existing list of contacts you'd like us to import for you, please contact us and we can import them for you.)
Additional optional configuration
- Enter coupons
If you plan on sending coupons to your contacts you'll need to enter your coupon offers. Once your coupons are created you'll be able to quickly select them for easy insertion into any mailing. You can enter coupons by clicking "Coupons" under the Lists heading in your control panel. - Set your birthday club message
If you'd like to send your contacts a special message on their birthday, you can set up the message by clicking "Birthday Club" under the Lists heading in your control panel.
After following these simple steps you'll be ready to send your first campaign!
