Contact Management - Searching for contacts
Searching your list for a specific contact is easy using our filtering system. Simply go to "Contacts" -> "Search" in your control panel and follow the steps below.
Filtering by email
Campaign Snap makes it easy for you to filter your list by email address to quickly find a specific contact. In the filter section at the top of the page simply enter any part of the email address. After entering a minimum of 4 characters Campaign Snap will present you with a list of possible matches that it found. You can select one of these matches or leave your entry as it is.
What will the email filter find for me?
If you select one of the suggested matches, the filter will only find that one match. However if you leave your entry as-is it will find any email address that has your entry at the beginning, middle, or end of the email address.
Here are some examples:
Entry: 'blonde' will find:
- blonde@example.com
- missblonde@example.com
- someone@blonde.com
Entry: '@aol.com' will find:
- example@aol.com
- somebody@aol.com
- anybody@aol.com
In the above example '@aol.com@aol.com' would not be found because it is not a valid email address (can't start with the @ symbol) and would not make it into Campaign Snap anyway.
Unsetting the filter
When a filter is set your contact database will be, well, filtered. So you will only see the contacts matched by your filter entry. To unset your filter and see your entire contact database again simply click "Unset Filter" at the top of the page.
